Layered security, encryption and protected access
Gingerbread protects sensitive school information through several layers of encryption. Data is encrypted within individual database fields, the database file is separately encrypted, and daily backups are also encrypted before they are retained.
The system APIs are protected by server certificates and encrypted HTTPS (SSL/TLS) access. Staff sign in to the application through Microsoft Authenticator, while authorised administrators manage users and their access levels within the system.
